Parent-Child Workshops (Ages 3 through 6) Pre-Fall Semester 2010 Art programs for children of Members at the Family/Dual ($200) level and above offer children the unique experience of learning about art and creating their own works in the Museum.These classes are designed to provide adults and children with an opportunity to explore and discover art in a studio setting as well as in the Museum's galleries. All gallery visits focus on visual art concepts: line, shape, color, pattern, texture, balance, and form. Activities include painting, collage, sculpting, building, and viewing works from the Museum's collection.
The new pre-fall semester is a shorter session designed to give children the opportunity to experiment with art-making at the Met without committing to a full semester.

Between Here and There: Passages in Contemporary Photography This exhibition of works from the permanent collection examines themes of dislocation and displacement in the medium since 1960, from perambulations and digressions by Vito Acconci, Ed Ruscha, Richard Long, and On Kawara to more recent reflections on our newly postnational, global existence by Thomas Struth and Rineke Dijkstra.
